Specialised Chiropractic at Brain and Spine Rehab

Although chiropractic is still relatively unknown in Europe, chiropractitioners are globally seen as specialists in the field of optimal functioning of the musculoskeletal system (especially back, neck, arms and legs) and the nervous system. Also in our practice and over the past 25 years, thousands of people have experienced what chiropractic can do for their body, health and well-being. In our practice, specialised chiropractor Arjan Kuipers mainly helps those who have achieved no or insufficient results with other types of treatment concerning chronic back and/ or neck pain, or who are dealing with complex problems of the musculoskeletal system and the brain after an accident.

Worldwide (such as in Scandinavian countries, Switzerland, Canada and the US) the field of chiropractic medicine is highly valued and has the same status as other comparable disciplines in healthcare. For example, Arjan Kuipers has worked as a consultant at a number of large clinics in Norway for the past 10 years, and had a fully-fledged recognised status within the healthcare system. As part of this he was permitted to issue sick notes and refer patients to other doctors and specialists. As chiropractors are currently not trained in The Netherlands and there also is no comparable training, chiropractic by definition does not fall under regular healthcare but is instead seen as complementary. This means, among other things, that reimbursement of costs by insurers only takes place via supplementary insurance packages.

In our practice we only work with chiropractors who have completed a university degree in chiropractic and who are also specialised in functional neurology. This means that we have a lot of expertise in applying neuroscientific knowledge in combination with treating problems of the musculoskeletal system.

In our practice we also use the latest training and treatment techniques for chronic and acute back, neck, shoulder, arm and leg problems, including so-called Functional Neuro-Orthopedic Rehabilitation (FNOR) and SHED light laser therapy. For all of these treatment types, our employees are trained.
